Addint Portfolio

Hi, I understand that you have to put a shortcode in the text of a page to make the website format a portfolio but it isn’t working. The only thing I haven’t worked out is going to ‘content types’ and activating the ‘portfolio projects’ since it doesn’t pop up when I go to my writing settings; the only thing that pops up is ‘formatting,’ ‘default post category,’ ‘default post format,’ and ‘default link category.’

If that isn’t what’s wrong, simply putting in the shortcode [portfolio] does not work for me. I’m using the Blask theme. I’ve already created projects to display (if it wouldn’t show up without them) but anyway, please do help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

when I go to my writing settings; the only thing that pops up is ‘formatting,’ ‘default post category,’ ‘default post format,’ and ‘default link category.’

You’re evidently referring to the Writing Settings page at WP-Admin dashboard > Settings > Writing. If you scroll further down the page, then you should see a Your Custom Content Types section which includes the Portfolio Projects setting. See the Writing Settings in the WP Admin Dashboard section of the Writing Settings support page.

The first Writing Settings page referred to in the support page, the one with the “Content Types” section in it, is at My Sites > Settings > Writing, which on your site would be here: https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/digitalperspectivesgemma.wordpress.com.
