    Hi @heeggggenie,

Yep that’s normal. On WordPress.com, when you add an additional domain to your account, the domain will automatically resolve to WordPress.com’s Name Servers and WordPress.com’s A records. Because of that, it will pull up the website that’s already on your WordPress.com account (including the same posts/pages you previously wrote).

However, the newly added domain will not become the primary site address unless you set it as the primary domain in your site settings.

How to set your new domain as the Primary Address

    1. Log in to your WordPress.com account.
    2. Go to My Sites (or select the correct site if you have multiple).
    3. Navigate to Upgrades → Domains (or Hosting → Domains, depending on your dashboard view).
    4. Under Site Domains, find the domain you want to use as the primary.
    5. Click Set as primary site address (or Make Primary) next to that domain.
    6. Confirm the change when prompted.

Once set, WordPress.com will use that domain as the main address for your site, and visitors will be redirected to it when they access the other domain(s).

    Regards,
