Hello, what is the cost of mapping an additional domain(another host provider)
vs. the cost of buying a new wordpress domain?The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Mapping an additional domain (either registering or mapping one you already own ) requires a WordPress.com plan.
All plan’s pricing and features are listed here, https://wordpress.com/pricing/If you already have a plan and only wish to map additional domain, I believe it’ll cost $13 USD.

Hi there, can you explain a little further about what it is you want to do? The site at nedaeu.wordpress.com is empty, the domain neda-eu.com redirects to neda-senj.hr which appearst to be hosted at Siteground.
In general, The cost of buying a new domain name or mapping an existing domain name for your WordPressdotcom site is included in every upgrade plan. https://wordpress.com/pricing/

I’m just following up on the modlook tag that was in place.
To map a domain you’ll need a plan. See those at wordpress.com/pricing/
Every plan includes a domain credit that you can either use to map a domain you already own OR register a new domain through us.
Stand alone domain mapping is no longer available as an individual upgrade.

Apologies staff-zinnia and @justjennifer, since my question is related and doesn’t really merit a separate thread of its own, I am putting my question here.
As per https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ document:
You can map as many additional domains to the same site as you would like, but you have to pay for additional mapping upgrades separately.
What is the cost for additional mapping upgrade?

Each plan will cover 1 domain. If you want to map multiple domains, you would need a plan for each of those.
There are some users who will continue to be able to renew their domain mapping at $13/year since that’s what they originally purchased but if this expires that option is no longer available.

Thank you staff-zinnia, however, I am still confused. If I have a WordPress.com website (say example.wordpress.com) and want to map two custom domain names to this site, do I need two plans for each domain name to be mapped to the same site? My understanding was that I need a plan for domain1 and can pay extra for domain2 and map both to the same site.

I’ll cancel my other domain then and register a new one with wordpress
if you want to use the same domain name (purchased from somewhere else) with WordPress.com, don’t cancel it with your existing service provider. Cancelling a domain name doesn’t make it available immediately for purchase somewhere else.

Appreciate your follow up since my answer was not very clear.
If a user wants to map 2 domains to the same .wordpress.com site, then they would need the following.
– First domain would be included with their plan credit.
– Second domain can be added for $13/annual charge for mapping only.This scenario only applies if both domains are being mapped to the same .wordpress.com site.
Does that clear things up?
