additional protection on IOS platform
-
is there a way to password protect the IOS application so that I have to enter the password every time? it saves it, and I want to make sure no one casually opens the app and sees my private postings
For example, several of my apps ask for an “unlock” code (dropbox as example) so that someone picking up my phone could not see my contents.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Here’s the link for the iOs forum for the WordPress app so you can post there and make our WordPress developers aware of your question and concerns http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to to those forums.

Hi there,
The WordPress app for iOS doesn’t have an extra password lock option (like the one you mentioned on the Dropbox app). I’d recommend setting a strong password on your phone itself, so someone picking up your phone would need to unlock the phone first.
If you already have a password on your phone and would like extra security, you may want to sign out the app when you’re done using it. You can do that by tapping on “Me” at the bottom of the screen and then tapping on “Settings” in the upper right. There, you’ll see the option to sign out of your WordPress.com account.
I’ll also mention this to our developers so they can consider adding a password lock like that as a future feature for the app. :) Thanks for the suggestion!
