additional widgets twenty ten

  Dear members,

  I have been using wordpress with twenty ten theme for my blog:

  http://forensischepsychologie.wordpress.com/

  I have used the image widget to add logo’s to the bottem

  I am now working on a new site:

  http://www.forensicpsychologyupdate.com/

  but there are far less widgets available. e.g., the image widget is not available.

  Is there a way I can add more widgets to the the theme?

  The only difference between the two sites is that the firstis hosted online by wordpress, while the other is hosted on a dreamhost server.

  WordPress.COM has a ton of unique features and widgets that the self-hosted version of wordpress does not. Some of the capabilities can be found in plugins, but on things such as the “image” widget you are going to probably have to hand code the stuff into text widgets.

  As the supportbot says though, for the self-hosted blog, you are in the wrong forum and need to be over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where they are supported.
