Address bar showing "i" instead of Secure

Why is the address bar on my wordpress website showing “i” instead of “Secure”, and how do I fix this?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hey @koppelon!

I see what you mean about the ( i ) in the address bar. Although your site is loading over HTTPS (the secure protocol) some of your images are loading from HTTP. This shows up as a flag and prevents Google from displaying the green padlock.

By inspecting the page with Google Chrome Dev Tools I was able to see 3 images that were loading from HTTP:

You have a couple options to resolve this. The easiest is if you know where those images are coded at then you can login and change the HTTP to HTTPS.

The other option would require using a plugin to force HTTPS. If you have a Business plan then you can search the plugin market for an SSL plugin. If not you would need to upgrade to a Business plan to be able to do so.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions with these processes. I would be happy to help you through any of them.

    Cheers,

    Tony

Thank you. I will check with the web designer to see if they can resolve this.
