  I’m wondering if there’s a way to incorporate the “AddThis” plugin button to standard wordpress.com blogs? I don’t see the “plugins” sidebar that’s referenced in the instructions on the standard version of wordpress.

  The plugin is only for self-hosted wordpress blogs, but there is an addthis option here although it is not as automatic as a plugin: http://support.wordpress.com/addthis/ .
