Adelle Theme – adding pics to excerpts

    Hi Everybody – I’m slowly by slowly learning Word Press and have been working with the Adelle theme by Blu Chic. I notice on The Time Thief’s blog here: http://thistimethisspace.com/that she is able to include the featured image in her blog excerpts. I can’t figure out how to do this. Does it require a plug in?

    I also notice on the Time Thief’s “health and wellness” page that the “health and wellness” header doesn’t navigate to a page – but is a container for the other drop down menus. I’d like to do the same thing on my site, which is not yet live (still building!) Any tips?
