Adjust the security on an already secure page?
-
Hi there,
I have a question regarding the security I have put on a page in my site: http://www.christianscienceottawa.ca which is a wordpress theme site “fccso.wordpress.com”. I have used the security feature to make my “_members” page secure so members need a password to enter that page. But once they have gone to that page and then leave and come back (if they are using the same computer) they are no longer required to use a password. The site just remembers that computer and allows them back in without a password. I would like the user/member to use a password each time they go to that page. Is there anyway to change the code behind that page so that I can have that type of security on that page?

At this time, there is no way to adjust that. The system remembers when a visitor has already entered the password for their convenience.

OK, thanks for the feedback. That’s too bad. Would have liked the piece of mind that it was locked each time. Is there a way you could notify me if this is to change? Also, is this an add on feature or something I could pay for to change in the code as I have done with the CSS?

This is how the core WordPress software functions, so it’s unlikely to change any time soon.
