adjust width of asusena theme wordpress

    i need to change my blog width a by 50 px.

    i am using asusena theme, how could i do so?

    Sorry, you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.

    These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.

    I would like an answer to this, as I am using the free hosting service and I too have the problem of video width being cropped by the theme.

    Something is way wrong with that theme as the video is inserted at what shows as the maximum size for that theme, but it really isn’t.

    If you have the CSS upgrade, you can widen the theme by adding the following to the CSS edit window. It will allow videos to be inserted at the 640px width as the one you have is.

    Can you please break down for me where the CSS edit window is, and which line I should add that code? I’ve never used CSS before so by all means treat me like an idiot. Thanks

    Do you have the Custom Design Upgrade?

    Go to appearance > custom design in your dashboard, click on the CSS tab near the top, delete all the information text in the text area on that page, copy and paste the above code I gave into the text area and then you can click the preview button to see the results. In some cases you might have to force refresh the preview page to see the actual change. If you are happy with the change, return to the CSS edit page, make sure the “add to existing…” button is clicked and then click “save stylesheet.”

    You know, there is something else going on here, because I just inserted several different video formats on one of my test blogs using Fruit Shake and the videos all sized properly.

    Look over this support document and see if this is how you are inserting the vimeo video.

    Note that if you leave it to wordpress, they are always going to insert the video at the maximum width for your particular theme.
