Adjusting “continue reading” on the bitacora theme

  1. The image in my first post does not appear on the homepage, I have to click Continue reading
  2. How can I adjust the Continue Reading. If my post is shorter than 25 lines keep it if it is a shorter post I don’t want it to appear.
  3. There used to be an Except section than a body section for content – everything is now (and harder) since the last time I was here!

  I hope I understand you correctly.

  If you want to have a single image that represent an article, you have to set a featured image for it. The image of each article will appear on a list of articles, like at the home page.

  As for the excerpt, you can write an excerpt or set a featured image for a post in the sidebar of the particular post. For clarity, you might want to check this documentation page. https://wordpress.com/support/featured-images/
