Adjusting Featured Page Title font size

  I am needing to adjust the font size of the featured content title and have tried imputing the CSS code below but it’s not working. How do I adjust this?

  /*Changes the size of featured section title*/
  #featured-content .featured-slide .hentry .entry-title {
  font-size: 1.625rem;
  }

  The site mentioned does not use our managed hosting environment from WordPress.com. Instead, it’s set up on the open source WordPress.org software which is something different.
