Adjusting the Image Size in the Gallery Widget

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

    My website is groovethink.com

I’m having an issue with the image size in the gallery on this specific page:

    http://groovethink.com/pics/

In the Gallery widget, I have titled the gallery, imported the images, made style = “slideshow” (so “link to” shouldn’t matter), and show if page = “Gallery.”

The problem is I go to edit the Gallery widget (click on “Choose Images”) and the image size is set to size = “thumbnail” and type = “thumbnail grid.” I want the pictures to be large or bigger. So, I change the size to “Full Size” and the type to “Slideshow” and update gallery.

After I do this, I refresh the website in my browser, and the images are still thumbnail size and when I go back into the gallery settings the settings have reverted back to “thumbnail” and “thumbnail grid.”

Please help! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

    Thanks,

    Frederick Jones

    Hi Frederick,

Are you talking about this page?

    http://groovethink.com/gallery/

So I see that you added the gallery to your Footer Widget, which is why the gallery is small. You can add the gallery directly to the page instead, which will be larger:

    https://groovethink.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=51&action=edit

Click on Add Media, and the go to the Create Gallery tab as seen here:

Then, create the gallery as you did the first time around.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!
