Adjusting top margin of home page
-
In order to make space for widgets that I moved to the top of my front post page (not a static one, but the actual post page), I moved the page (posts) down by adjusting the top margin. However, I believe there is a more specific selector that I could have used besides
.hentry:first-child {
margin-top: 640px;
}This affects all newly created pages.
Is there one I can use which is unique to my front page?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you want to be specific, then this selector would do it for your main page.
.home .site-content #main
What you have works, but I would add the .home preceding the selector you have to limit it to the home page only. -
I am glad there are times like this that when I have very important questions that you can provide a quick and easy solution. I hate to always be asking you the “tough” questions (i.e. require a lot of time digging into my site).
FYI. For every question I ask, I had at least two others that I did not ask, but “worked through” and found the solution on my own. Usually, when I ask you a question, I have reached my limit on trying to solve it.
It’s great to have you (and the other people in this forum) as a resource. The premium plan is well worth the money!!!!!!
Thanks.
