adjustment of site appearance problems

  I really can’t understand how to 1) create a page at the top (where home, about and about me are) . I would like to have different pages there and publish posts in them. I would also like to have a static page on the home page which shows my latest post only with underneath some kind of contact form and comment form. Can anybody help? I find really difficult to understand the technical language used for these kind of things, and I am not an English mother tongue, making it even more difficult. Help!!!

  Category pages will solve your problem. Click the link below for set-up instructions. I can help if you need it. Just reply to this thread.

  Could you tell me more about what you want this to do? You have just your latest post showing up on your home page now. Users do have to click to comment. I can help you set up a page with an excerpt of your latest post and a contact form, but it won’t work the same as regular comments. Is that what you want?

  I suggest you set up the category pages and see if you still want the new front page after that.

  Thanks! Seen your answer. I am going to try the category page tomorrow and will take advantage of your knowledge again if needed. I did manage to have a static home page after I sent my request for help, I actually got there by mistake!!! Thanks again, so nice there are people out there who take the time to help disaster ones like me.

  Hi, I had a look and decided it really is too complicated for me to do. I don’t even understand what it would be like….I have categories at the side and I have tried to clic on them to see whether it brought me to the posts in that category and it does. I think, for the time being, I am going to leave it that way.
