Admin Access

Hi guys, I’m the author of a site on wordpress.com that represents a sporting amator association, unluckly the admin of the site losts his e-mail access, he forgot the password and we can’t be able to log us like admin. Is there a way to promote an author to admin? Technicaly admin user no more exists cause that user no longer access to linked email account. Please help us in other case we need to close it (impossibile without admin, so how?) and restart again with another one. It’s so frustrating.

Are you still in contact with the original administrator? If so, could you please ask them to log into their account. If they’ve forgotten the details, they can follow the Account Recovery process: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/
Once they’ve reclaimed access to their account, they would be able to transfer ownership of the WordPress.com blog to you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Or delete the site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Yes we are in contact, he is our coach, the problem is that he totally forgot with wich mail, user and passowrd of that mail and so on.
