Admin address cannot be found 404

    Performed wordpress Quick Install. Before that, when I set up my URL I used the name of a site that I already have because I want to replace that site(someone before me created a free yahoo site).
    Anyway, when I got my ‘Install Complete’ email, the ADMIN URL link is there so I click it and it cannot be found 404. The address reads mycompany.com/wp-admin
    Is it because of the existing site? How can I build a wp site while keeping that one up?

    Hey there, you’ve posted your question in the support forums for sites hosted by WordPress.com. It sounds like your site is using the standalone WP software.
