Admin Area crashed during update. Cant access

  I was running the update for my site and it locked up and now when i try to go to my admin area, i get the following message;

  Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in /homepages/44/d112703929/htdocs/clickandbuilds/WordPress/JohnTaglieri/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 668

  How can i fix this? Thankfully, it didnt impact my site which is still up and running fine, but I ned to make updates and can’t get in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
