Admin bar disappearing when I view my page, post preview not working

Okay, when I click ‘visit site’ from the dashboard and go to my blog, my admin bar disappears at the top and it acts as if I’m not logged into WordPress anymore. This just recently started happening. Maybe it’s something to do with Firefox 3? Also, the post preview button doesn’t work either. I’ll save my post and preview it and it says ‘sorry, this post does not exist’ or something in that vein. Is this just a Firefox 3 problem as well?

Also I keep getting ‘WordPress Dashboard’ in my blog stats as a referrer. I’m assuming this is because it’s signing me out to take me to my blog? Then it thinks I’m a new viewer everytime I view my blog.

Probably not; you’re probably in the Fastest-Growing list, or Most Recent Posts or something. A Dashboard by definition is only viewable to people who are signed in, so if the stats program is recognizing you are coming from there it should recognize you’re signed in.
A few people have reported errors like yours but as far as I know there’s no solution at the moment. Try the cookie dance: log out, clear cache and cookies, restart. Let us know if that helps. I believe it is a FF3 problem, but if it persists till Monday, definitely let staff know via the dashboard Support button.

Everything is working now. I cleared the cookies and the cache but before I did that the admin bar was back when I viewed my site again. Not sure what fixed it but it’s not counting my views from my dashboard anymore either. If it happens again I’ll let WordPress know but for now it’s back to normal.

I was getting this too, last weekend. Someone else mentioned it on here, I replied to that one, and the following day all was back to normal. Now it’s happening again – I’ve just had to log in to post this message (and by the way, clicking ‘log in’ under ‘leave a reply’ just took me back to my – logged in! – dashboard), even though I reached the forum from my dashboard.
I’m using whichever is the newest version (I forget the number) of Internet Explorer, on Windows XP SP3. I’ve got ‘Turbo’ enabled if that’s any help, though the first time this happened to me I didn’t have.

Same problem here! No admin bar when I visit my own site… and when I respond to a comment myself, my avatar is not the one I had uploaded on my profile. Also my readers get a goofy avatar now, instead of the picture they had uploaded themselves.
How do you clear cache en cookies? I’m not a professional on this one… -
These problems are most likely due to the cookie updates from last week.
