Admin Bar Dropdowns Not Working
-
When I look at the front of any WP.com blog when I’m signed in, the grey admin bar shows all the links it should show, but they will not drop-down the menus, nor do the links work. Sup wit dat?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Still going on, using Firefox on Windows XP. Two different computers, on two completely different connections.
-
You know, and I know, that I know better than to bump threads, but I need confirmation, once and for all, that I am the ONLY person experiencing this issue. When I go to the front of my blog, the Admin bar becomes unclickable.
Is this the case for anyone else? It now appears to be the case ONLY on my own blog, not elsewhere on WP.com.

Oh, wait. My admin bar does NOT work when I go to raincoaster.com.
Definitely something wrong.

I peeked at your CSS and it looks virtually identical to mine – and so does the HTML.
It’s time to hit the contact form.
-
You’re a little heavy on HTML errors at 125. You post a lot of vids so some of that is to be expected.
Might try the settings > writing thing and open posts, make a change and then resave and see if things come back to normal.
-
Naw, that probably isn’t it. I hit a couple other pages and still have the issue. Did you add anything to your sidebar about the time this happened?
-
Since I’m not sure exactly when this happened, I can’t say, but I haven’t farted around with my sidebar for six months or more. I totally appreciate your help.
-
Rain,
I went to your blog to check the problem but the admin bar doesn’t even show up for me.
-
For some reason, it won’t load on Fx… I’m using Camino and now I can see the problem. Let me see….
-
Thanks, it’s much appreciated. I know I should have added those CSS mods you gave me before, but I never did.

Web Developer’s toolkit is reporting this error:
Error: adminbar is not defined

Line: 1547 -
They must have done something to the Admin Bar CSS code that it’s conflicting with the one defined in your CSS.
At the end of your style sheet, you’ll find these definitions:
#wpcombar { background:#5C5C5C url('http://raincoaster.files.wordpress.com/2008/01/rdr_wpbar.gif') no-repeat 50% 0; border-bottom:1px solid #777; color:#fff; font:12px "Lucida Grande","Lucida Sans Unicode",Tahoma,Verdana; height:27px; left:0; position:absolute; top:0; width:100%; margin:0; } #wpcombar .menupop ul { background:#5C5C5C; border:1px solid #777; left:-999em; position:absolute; border-width:0 1px 1px; } #wpcombar .quicklinks a,.blogmeta { border:none; color:#fff; display:block; font:12px "Lucida Grande","Lucida Sans Unicode",Tahoma,Verdana; font-weight:normal; letter-spacing:normal; text-decoration:none; padding:.5em 1em; }Get rid of them. That should fix your Admin bar problem.

I will. But it will have to wait till I sober up. I’ve been in the pub too long tonight. Will do it first thing tomorrow. Thank you!
Wonder, is it just me?
