Admin bar notifications bell
-
I’m stuck and can’t find an answer/solution. I hope someone can help, please.
I do not receive notifications on the ‘admin bar Bell’ when someone ‘likes’ and comments on my blog . The email notifications seem to be working okay which is how I know that someone has liked or
commented. But I don’t understand why the Bell notification has stopped working.
Here’s what I’ve done to try to fix it:
cleared cache a few times over a period of a couple of weeks
refresh browser a few times
scanned computer for virus – it’s all goodI would appreciate some help. Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Facing a similar problem with the web dashboard. The notifications icon do not indicate new notifications. However, on clicking the notifications bell, the details are accurate.
The Android app notifications also seem to be off. While the push notification works, the bell icon doesn’t indicate new notifications. On certain posts, the notifications won’t open. One particular notification showed up right at the top, despite being several days old.
The number of likes on one particular post showed up as 266666666 (as flattering as that number sounds, it is incorrect).
Hope the bug is resolved soon.
Thanks!

I’m still not receiving ‘likes’ notifications in the admin bar bell. But I do receive notifications via email.
All the notification settings are correct, I’ve double checked. I’ve also cleared the cache and reset the browser several times.
Can anyone please help me? I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Thanks Timethief for your instructions.
So I think I’ve narrowed the problem down. It has something to do with https and Firefox. Will troubleshoot it further on the weekend.
