admin but no dashboard

    Moved a working install of wordpress from /wordpress to the root directory. At first, wp-admin only returned the home page, not the admin login. Found a suggestion to use /wp-login.php which worked and got me into the admin area. Every menu item seems to work except dashboard. Which file(s) should I look at (for incorrect paths?) if this one feature does not work?
