  I deleted the following blog: southessexmedia.wordpress.com from my account so I could start again, I now can’t Create Another Blog with this name i.e. I get this error message: ‘Sorry, this site already exists!’ even though it doesn’t. Can this be added to My Blog list? TIA for any help.

  No, it cannot be added to your blog list, because you deleted it.

  Deletions here are accompanied by three warnings and an email confirmation precisely because they are Permanent and Irreversible.

  Perhaps a moderator could help reinstating the subdomain …
