Hi, I do not wish to build a site or need help in that matter. I somehow created an account in relation to SlowCookerCentral one day when I tried to sign in. WordPress came up on my computer and asked me to raise an account, I thought maybe they have changed the Login.
Anyway since then I have not used WordPress, my user name was CurleyDeb. A few days ago I received an email from someone calling themselves Josephine1 whom I do not know, wanting to get to know me! This person said they have read my profile!! and wanted to get in touch and that I sound interesting!!!!!! Really. The email address of this sender is (email visible only to moderators and staff). I tried to login to my wordpress account only to be told my account had been closed so I created another account, user name getgonever, simply to find out what is going on.
I thought my private information was just that, Private! So anyone can look at my private information and contact me ? This can not be right and I am less than impressed. Could someone please delete all my private information from both accounts please, I am very upset about this.
Hoping to hear from someone about this please.

Hello aleone89, thank you for your reply. Is there an administrator for WordPress?, I really don’t seem to be getting anywhere. I raised another account to find who this josephine1 is that apparently viewed my private profile and is sending me messages on my private email address. Do you know if everyone can read any profile or did josephine1 hack into mine?
Anyway in short, all I want to do is delete all my private profile information if someone could please help me to do that please so I don’t have anyone else sending me emails. Do you know who I should be talking to please?
Hoping to hear from someone in relation to this, not happy at all.

Is there an administrator for WordPress?
No. WordPress is open-source software, available for anyone to use and install. As such, there’s no centralized support or “administrator”.
Regarding the emails you’re receiving, they sound like regular spam emails and have nothing to do with WordPress.com. If the spammer is spoofing the email address
(email visible only to moderators and staff), which is very common with spam, there’s no way to tell where the spam is originating nor how they got your email to begin with.Second, the wording you shared from these emails is also very indicative of spammers. Did they mention anything specific about you or were they just referencing general “you sound interesting” statements? If it’s just general statements, it would also be spam.
Finally, WordPress.com user account profiles do not display any email information, so unless someone had your login information – which is unlikely since you deleted your account the same day you created it in November 2020 – there’s no way they would’ve gotten that information from us.
I would mark these emails as spam/junk in your email program and not worry about them going forward.

There is so much spam/junk/hacking going on these days it is very hard to know where it is coming from. The only place I knew to look was wordpress as that is where the email said it was coming from. However, as you said they can spoof the address which I do admit I didn’t consider. I created the first account back in 2020 so I have no idea where the spammers got their info on me.
Anyway, thank you for your help, I am learning about computers, the good and the bad side and I am afraid I jumped to conclusions, I am very sorry about that. Having said that I will delete this account and you will not hear from me in the near future.
