  How can I make my blogs safer since a Google search brings up the admin link?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  While finding an admin link in a Google search is rather surprising, this would not compromise your security since no one (other than WordPress staff) can use an admin link to access the administrative areas of your site unless they have the password and can log into the site.

  Actually both of my websites admin link comes up in a Google search and when clicked on the username and password are saved. I don’t know how to fix them where the username and password are not saved.

  Sorry for being dense, I just don’t know how to fix this and have been trying to find the answer for several weeks.

  I recently had a blog site set up by a freelancer. She set up the GoDaddy domain, installed WordPress, theme, addons, etc. She sent me the login that takes me to GoDaddy and I can see the account and all the folders, but how do I get to the WordPress dashboard to manage the pages?

  Hi jeannietx2014,

  Your site at http://www.jeannietx22.com is a self-hosted site, so some things (like the admin link being listed in Google search results) may behave a bit differently from sites hosted here at WordPress.com. The WordPress.com support staff don’t have the tools or access to change how that works.

  You also mentioned that when you click on the link from the Google search your username and password are saved. That sounds like the username and password are saved on your computer, in your browser. You might want to try visit that link in a different browser to see how it works there, which is how other people would see that page. (I can’t imagine that the username and password would appear on any computer other than your own, but checking on another computer would let you confirm that.)

  If you’d like any further help with that, the WordPress.org forums are a great place to get help with self-hosted sites like that one. @san32931, I’d recommend you also check out those forums for help with your self-hosted site. :)
