Admin list view for posts and pages is wrapping to one column
-

For some reason the Pages and Posts admin views are wrapping to one tiny column. There is a .grid css applied to this view from mojo-marketplace/marketplace.css… If I turn off that declaration for grid in the browser inspector the row data shows up in columns again.. So where is this coming from and how do I override it so I can see my list views for Posts and Pages? I don’t know where to put css overrides for the Admin view if there is a place?

Hi there!
Can you share the link to the site you’re working on? Please note that we can only help with WordPress.com sites in this forum. If you’re using WordPress.org, you’ll want to post on the WordPress.org support forum here.
There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.
One idea, though: You can use the “Screen Options” menu to reduce the number of columns displayed on the posts list. For example, you can hide the Stats icon or the comments column. That might help fix the issue.

I tried reducing the number of columns, that doesn’t work. The only thing that seems to make this wrap like this is a css setting for a grid layout from a css file named marketplace.ver.6…., but I don’t know where that is coming from. I think it was from jetpack or some other free service that is not an actual plugin so I’ll keep poking around. I think maybe using some kind of custom CSS override plugin for the admin UI might let me override it. Thanks for having a look. I’m not currently using wordpress.com or wordpress.org to host any sites.

I installed the “Admin CSS MU” plugin and added CSS to override the .grid css that was causing the problem and it’s looking normal now. Woohoo

Glad you were able to get it sorted! Your screenshots indicate your site might be hosted with Bluehost, if I understand correctly? In general that means we wouldn’t have any way to be able to check it, as it’s not hosted here on WordPress.com; but the WordPress.org community can be helpful in situations like this too:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/Jetpack doesn’t typically affect columns in the admin like that, but it can always be worth trying to troubleshoot what plugin would be causing it. We have a guide that’s oriented towards sites we host but perhaps it could be useful for you too:
