admin login

I have a client who contracted a previous web designer to build their website. They were using WordPress for the website and the client wants me to continue work off their current one. The previous designer gave me their login credentials but it’s not working. Would a valid username look correct if it’s “Joe-admin”? Am I even able to access websites from other accounts?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I did not see you specify the URL of the other site you are referring to but it may help to clarify that we are not the only provider of WordPress sites. Our managed hosting platform does include a lot of advantages such as secure user accounts with brute force login protection, server-level performance enhancements, and in house support.
But it is also the case that you can set up a hosting account with a different provider, and install the free open-source version of the platform. Unlike WordPress.com where we pre-install and manage all aspects of site security and performance, a “self-hosted” WordPress site would not be connected with us, and is essentially the totally DIY version of the platform.
On those sites you (as site admin) are able to create accounts and assign whatever name you wish, so it is possible that someone might set up that username for you, especially if your name is “Joe.” :)
Hope this helps! If your client is looking for a rock-solid host and in-house support via our WordPress experts, you may want to suggest our migration plugin, which will move an exact copy of their site to our managed hosting in just a few clicks:
The Move to WordPress.com plugin allows you to start migrating a self-hosted WordPress site to WordPress.com directly from the self-hosted site. Prerequisites The Move to WordPress.com plugin installed on your self-hosted WordPress site. All incompatible plugins deactivated on the self-hosted site. ✅ There is no need to create a site on WordPress.com before you get starHope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
