Admin Login Not Working

  We have our passwords saved on our browser. We have used them every day since signing up for the website earlier this summer. For some reason, it is not allowing us to login and the password reset links say ‘Sorry you’re not allowed to perform this action.’ We have orders waiting right now and need to get them out ASAP. WE NEED HELP.

  Hello there!

  I have checked your site and it looks like your site is hosted with a third-party Registrar (Godaddy). Here in this forum we only provide support for sites that are hosted in WordPress.com only. If your site is hosted somewhere else please create a ticket here in https://wordpress.org/support/ and get help there.

  Hi there,

  It looks like your WordPress is under self-hosted WordPress.org. This forum is specifically for websites hosted in WordPress.com. You can get support from the WordPress.org forum instead: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

  Here are the differences between these two entities: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  Back to your question, it seems like GoDaddy hosts your WordPress. You might want to log in to your hosting account to change the WordPress account login or contact GoDaddy’s support.

  It’s not allowing me to login to either site. I have no idea what to do and tons of orders to get out for customers.

  As others here have mentioned correctly, we can’t help directly because we don’t host your site on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.

  Instead your host (GoDaddy) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com.

  The good news is that as long as you have access to the server control panel through GoDaddy, it is always possible to regain access to your self-hosted WordPress site. This WordPress.org Codex article will walk you through it: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/

  You can ask GoDaddy support for direct assistance in completing the steps in that article; they would be in the best position to help.
