Admin Page Inaccessible

Hi, I can’t seem to access one of the site URLs associated with my WordPress.com account. I no longer use the wacotasobaseball.com domain and have since allowed it to expire through the original hosting/domain registrar. I ultimately would like to be able to access the wp-admin page for the site so I can delete it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

I don’t see the domain wacotasobaseball.com associated with a WordPress.com site. I see it as a Jetpack connected self hosted site. In order to access the files for that site, you’ll need to contact your webhost.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately the hosting and domain registration with bluehost have both expired. Is this an issue somehow related to DNS records or name servers? In my wordpress.com account I see the My Sites button, under which is wacotasobaseball.com. When I click WP Admin, the browser is pointed to wacotasobaseball.com/wp-admin, which doesn’t exist. Is it possible for wordpress.com to delete the site?

Yes. This thread is tagged for Staff to remove the URL from your account for you. Please be patient while waiting.

I’m sorry. I misunderstood your initial post. I thought you were trying to access your content from that site.

I’ve removed that from your WordPress.com account.

Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks so much, shawnajroberts! That’s exactly what I needed.

Last request: Can you also do the same for aaronbaggett.com, one of the other sites on my WordPress.com account? I currently self-host that site using aaronbaggett.com via GitHub.

Removing it from WordPress.com will not adversely affect my domain name will it?

Aaron, I’ll add the tag again for a Staff member to remove the other site from your WordPress.com account.

I don’t believe removing it from your account will affect the domain name since I’m assuming 1. That WordPress.com is not the registrar and 2. Your registrar is pointing toward the name host for your self-hosted solution, but definitely wait for a Staff member to give you a more knowledgeable confirmation.

Nope! It will make Jetpack stop working though. Are you using Jetpack on that site?

  • Unknown's avatar

Good deal! I am not using Jetpack on that site. Thanks!

Great! I’ve removed that for you now.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do!
