Admin questions

Hi Guys – I recently purchased and set up robteter.com and now it’s showing TWO “Rob Teter” sites on my dashboard with a smattering different domains – all in some form of robteterdotcom.wordpress.com.
Firstly – I’d like to figure out how to make that go down to only one.
Secondly – How to I make Rob Teter my default account rather than the first one I set up a a year ago called MYWindowFacesTheSouth?
Thanks.

Hi there,
First of all, it looks like robteter.com is currently mapped to robteterdotcom1.wordpress.com. If you want it to be associated with robteterdotcom.wordpress.com instead, I can make that happen for you. Just let me know.
All of your blogs (mywindowfacesthesouth.wordpress.com and both robteter ones) are associated with the same WordPress.com account. If you want to separate the new blogs from the mywindowfacesthesouth account, first log out of WordPress.com and create a brand new account (note that you will need to use a new email address). Then log back into your first account, the one with all the blogs, and invite that new user to be a user on any blogs you want to transfer to the new user.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#adding-users
Once that’s done, and you have confirmed the new users on your blog following the email link, we can move the blogs you want, and the upgrades, over to the new user.
If you want to delete any blogs, let me know which ones you don’t want, and I can delete those for you. In fact, if the only blog you want on this account is the one with the robteter.com domain, I could delete the other two and then you could then choose a new username for the account.

Hey thanks Jakie –
I would like to delete everything but the one associated with robteter.com. Can we start there? Give me 10 minutes to save the content from the old one though. Lemme know!

Hey Jakie – Just FYI…ready to go on this. Everything I need is saved and I’d like to delete everything but the one associated with robteter.com
and… make sure I didn’t inadvertently purchase two domains.
Thanks,
Rob

Hi again,
You have a current domain for mywindowfacesthesouth.com. Are you still using that blog/domain? If not, I can delete the associated blog and domain, but note that once a domain is cancelled, you may not be able to register it again to use it elsewhere. However, you can transfer it to use on another blog hosted elsewhere. Let me know, as I don’t want to cancel anything until I know how you want to proceed with that.
You also have a brand new domain at robteter.com. I don’t see multiple transactions for you, so unless you have another account entirely, you should be okay there.

I’m not using that one anymore. Ready to get rid of it.
Would like to do everything under “Robteter” from now on.
Thank you!

Also – sorry to bombard you with questions but…
is there a way to turn of the “reply” section that appears at the bottom every page? If you’ll see on my site (robteter.com) that’s on every page…
Is there a way to get rid of it? CSS?
Thanks…

Hi Rob,
Okay, so you should be set. You have now one blog, robteterdotcom1.wordpress.com, that carries the domain mapping for robteter.com.
You can change your username by following the instructions I linked before.
As for the “reply” box, which is your comments form, you can enable or disable that by page/post or by default for your whole site going forward (though any pages/posts where it was already on will need to be turned off manually). Instructions are here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/
