Admin quit, only editor left
-
The admin or super admin (I’m not sure) who started the blog has quit the company, and all we have left is our lead editor. Can we switch admin control over to him instead?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No Staff cannot just switch for you.
You are between a rock and a hard place because it is the person with the username account and associated email address who registered the blog and who is the original Admin of it who actually owns the blog.
You must contact that blog owner so they can transfer the blog to another username account See here please:

As the site has a domain mapping upgrade in place also see

It’s a company blog so you might have a bit of good luck – if the original owner used a company email account – as noted above it is the email account that owns the blog – your IT folks should be able to get their company email active again – then do a password reset then login with the old owner account and use the instructions above to transfer the blog AND THE UPGRADES to another user – you might also consider setting up an email account just for your blog to prevent problems in the future
