Admin Removal

I had two wordpress sites and deleted one of them. When I did that it removed me as admin from my school account which I still need but can’t post in anymore. How can I make it so I have control of that account again?

  • Hi there,

Can you please tell us the URL of the site you deleted, and the URL of the site you want access to?

There is no way that deleting a WordPress.com site can remove you as an admin from any other sites, as sites on WordPress.com are completely separate from one another, and nothing you do on one site can directly or indirectly affect any other site.

This is the first site I made that I still have access to view but am no longer able to post on. I don’t have the domain of my other site because I deleted it.

  • Hi there,

I do not see any sites under your WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  I do see sydneyoharaenglishportfolio.wordpress.com as listed in our system but it is under a different login than the account you are using now (@sydneyohara3) to contact us here.

With this in mind, please fill out this form here to the best of your ability: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

This will send all the info you have to our account recovery team, and from there they will contact you directly to assist you in regaining access to the account that owns sydneyoharaenglishportfolio.wordpress.com.
