Hello there,
> the way to do editing pure HTML is gone
One can go ahead with editing a block as HTML by selecting the option from the block’s options that hover above it when selected, like so:

Cheers!

I found Code editor in the Options menu of the new WordPress Content Manager, but it loses context when I toggle between Visual editor and Code editor.
What I used to do was highlight text in the Visual Editor and then switch to Code Editor so that I could quickly update that section. Now when I toggle, it goes to the start of the page and the highlight are missing.
Also the Code editor sometimes does not scroll down to the end of the page, and I have to manually click on the last part on the screen and click the down arrow to go to the rest of the contents.
Another issue I have with the new editor is that is very slow to load the page. And the listing and search functions to find a page/post are not as explicit.
My URL is nitinuchil.wordpress.com

Hi there!

When writing in the editor it creates a new paragraph block every time we hit the return button on the keyboard.
Therefore, while highlighting text in the visual editor will not work, at least we stay in the same place where we need to edit our content instead of scrolling to the top.
Following the link I shared in my previous response one can see in the two screenshots the difference between selecting “Edit as HTML” for a given block and switching between the Code Editor and the Visual editor. Here it is again:
https://wordpress.com/support/beginning-html/#adding-and-editing-html> the Code editor sometimes does not scroll down to the end of the page
This could be due to screen resolution.
What is the one in effect right now?Cheers!
