Administrative email address not updating

I need to update the Administration Email (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff) but an email to ‘confirm’ the ‘new’ address is not being sent to my inbox nor spam/junk folder. I’ve been checking for the last several days to see if an email from WordPress arrives but it still has not! I NEED TO UPATE THIS IMMEDIATELY.

Your site is not hosted on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.
Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:

On WordPress.com we don’t use administrative emails, as your email address is tied to your username account, not specific to individual sites in your account.
