Administrator Help needed!
-
Hi Guy’s, I have a website that is a Whistleblowing story about a Leading Supermarket. My site was up and running for 2-3 weeks. On February 25th, Jetpack advised me my Site went down between 01:59 & 02:06am. (Jetpack provided a fault code: Error reference: 227717821/intermittent) when I checked my site, the WordPress settings had been changed (my site has white writing on a black background and the background colour had been reset to white so my story was no longer Legible!) Bluehost has confirmed -no issues or faults with their servers etc. but advised me the WP Adin/Menu tab is missing from my ‘Dashboard’ & I need Administrator Help (I can’t set the ‘Home page’ & remove the ‘sample page’ I released a plea for help on Social Media with a link to my story and I’m keen to restore my site ASAP. (I know the company in my story is ‘remotely’ accessing my computer & has a ‘key stroke recorder’ programme operating (they know my account details/password (I’m addressing that now) and I believe they Sabotaged my site! If you can help with any further information about what took place when my site went down, that would also be very much appreciated. Kind Regards, Steve.

Hello!
It’s essential to understand the differences between the various versions of “WordPress” to avoid confusion:
- The free, open-source WordPress software that powers your website.
- WordPress.org, where you can obtain the software for free to use on your chosen hosting provider.
- WordPress.com, a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software, which is the platform you’re currently contacting.
Since your site isn’t hosted with us, there are limitations to the assistance we can provide. However, I can guide you in the right direction to get help.
I suggest reaching back out to Bluehost for assistance with this issue. They host your site’s files and have access to them, making them the best resource to help you identify and resolve the problem. They should also be able to provide Administrator access to your site and may have a backup available to restore if there’s any malware present.
If you encounter further difficulties, consider seeking guidance from the WordPress community:

I hope this clears things up! If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
