Administrator or Editor

My partner set up the site for me using his phone but my email address. Today I have set up a blog and sent him the link to ask his opinion, however when he clicks on the link he is then logged in as me – even though I have logged out!
I have tried changing from Administrator to Editor but it makes no difference – please can you confirm what it needs to be.
In addition, how can anyone leave comments on my site if they just appear to be me when they reply? I’m very confused and would really appreciate your help.

Hi,
If I understand correctly, the account is evidently connected to your partner’s mobile phone number. If a two-step authentication is set up on the account, the partner can log into the account by entering the six-digit verification code. Might this have been what happened?
If so, then changing the mobile device associated with the account might resolve the issue. See the Moving to a New Device section of the Two-Step Authentication support page for instructions.
I’m not sure the above suggestion will work. You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar of this topic to call for staff attention.

Is it possible that you weren’t logged out of the account when you thought you were? If this was the case, then the partner might gain access to the site as you by just visiting the site with the phone.

Yes he said that if he didn’t go in via the link I sent then it was OK. But how do I remove his “like” as it looks as though I did it myself?

The Like button works as a toggle. Click the button again and it will undo the like incorrectly attributed to you.

Hi @shellyc23, to clarify, is your partner using an app on his phone and is still somehow logged in as you?
If logging out and clearing cache and cookies hasn’t helped, please let us know whether he is using an app or a browser (and which one) — or send any other information that may help. Thanks!
