Administrator Versus Key Master? Keeping Control Over Site
-
I understand the roles of users that WordPress has created. The following challenge is how do you allow someone access to “edit” your actual site, without totally releasing your entire control over it?
I think there should be more than one level to Administrators. There should be, the “Key Master” which CANNOT be changed by anyone including another administrator.
Then, actually having an administrator that has rights to everything on your site, except that Key Master’s log in and credentials.
I need to be able to let someone edit my site, but NOT be able to takeover my “Key Master” Administrator account. I am hosting my site on my own virtual server, so I could easily just delete the whole thing. But that REALLY defeats the purpose, and WordPress is REALLY leaving things vulnerable to those of us who from time to time NEED an outside source to edit our sites.
Can anyone suggest a way that I can have an administrator, capable of changing everything on my site, BUT protect my Key Master Administrative Account?
Certainly, I can’t be the first person challenged with this issue. There must be some form of workaround here… Thanks in advance for your help with this matter…
