admin owner can't login to private site

  I have been helping my sister with her web site. we are both administrators and she is the owner. she wants the site private for now. I changed it to private but now she can’t log in anymore. she gets the login page but can no longer access the site–even though she is still admin and owner–she just keep getting the login page. How can we fix this?
