You can follow these instructions on how to change the blog icon: http://en.support.wordpress.com/blavatar
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) using Custom Design is fine as long as it’s still readable.
Uploading file on your WordPress.com site only allows you to insert a download link to a file. If you wish to embed the actual document into a post or page, you can use external services such as:
Scribd: http://en.support.wordpress.com/scribd/
Slideshare: http://en.support.wordpress.com/slideshows/slideshare/ (optimized for presentation slides)You can follow these instructions on how to set a static front page and move your blog page to a different place: http://en.support.wordpress.com/front-page
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

You can add the code below to your ‘CSS’ section at https://martinatreeter.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmartinatreeter.wordpress.com%2Fwp-admin%2F to hide the post section.

thanks alot for your help, great support here!
since i want to create a private flipbbok slideshare (only public) and Scribd (no flipbook doublepages import) seem to be not very usefull, but issue.com is offering a free account and you are able to set a PDF/Magazin… to private.
I tried to embed the code but it is not showing up on the page.
i wonder why its not working because they offer a embed code that, they say so, is for tumblr and wordpress.
it looks like that: <iframe width=”525″ height=”371″ src=”//e.issuu.com/embed.html#11307930/7176695″ ….And user should only copy and insert it into a page…
Any clue :) ? -
Try these instructions: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/01/18/inserting-issuu-docs/ :)

Hello again,
it worked perfectly :) jippi
so know i just embedded that flipbook to my password protected part of my blog, the page says “password protected page” but the PDF is open :/
i hope that will not be a problem to fix it, because it want my portfolio to be only viewable to some people?cheers :) martina

Once the password of your password protected page has been entered the visitor has access to the content on that page. What do you exactly mean by “the PDF is open” ?
-
it means that even if i setted a password for the page ,portfolio, user have access to the slideshow i uploaded from issuu.com. and dont have to type in the password.
i dont really know what the problem is, any clue?thx,m.

It seems Issuu does not offer options to password protect uploaded publications. But you might want to double check with Issuu to see what the options are: http://help.issuu.com/anonymous_requests/new
