I was wondering why the ad is still displaying on the bottom of my webpage after I purchased to remove ads. Does anyone know why it is still showing “Blog at WordPress.com | Theme:… | ……..” Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t believe so it says this:
Blog at WordPress.com. | Theme: Modularity Lite by Graph Paper Press.
I thought I paid for it to be removed?? Any suggestions of why it is still there? Thanks!

That is not an advert. That is there to give credit to the theme’s designer. It is against the TOS to remove that credit.
May I remove the ‘Blog at WordPress.com’ credit in my site’s footer?
Although the Custom Design Upgrade certainly grants you the capability to hide the credit from your site’s footer, you are not permitted to do so. Even our VIP bloggers are required to maintain the credit. -

WordPress regularly places adverts on our sites. We don’t see them while we are logged in, but visitors who view your site without being logged in will see them.
It’s how wp pays for this (free) service.
Is this the upgrade you purchased:

I believe you go to your dashboard and then the shopping cart is the icon for the store. There should be a button there to request a refund:
Just in case you’re not happy with your upgrade we offer a limited refund on newly purchased upgrades.
New domain registrations will be refunded if requested within 2 days.
Domain renewals are non-refundable.
Most other upgrades can be fully refunded within 30 days of purchase. You can use the “Cancel and Refund” button if available or Contact support if you want to request a refund.
