  Ads have started showing up on my blog that weren’t there before. They’re even popping up in the middle of my posts. I have a free site. Is that normal? If not, how do I get rid of them?

  The free version of WordPress.com does have adverts. These can be removed by upgrading to any paid pricing plan. You can read a bit more about adverts and removing them if wished here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/
