While we are perfectly fine with reasonably tasteful ads being displayed on our site, we noticed today ads that were promoting ladies’ lingerie and ads illustrating biological/medical issues that left little to the imagination.
This is a religious blog, and deals with serious issues affecting the Catholic church. Our readers neither desire nor need to see such ads. We would very much appreciate a better vetting process for ads on our site.WP.com: Yes

Hi @aaambrosetti, sorry about that. We can report those ads for you if you’ll get a screenshot of the offensive ones. Just upload it to https://wordpress.com/media and update us here.
We do also have paid plans that eliminate ads entirely if you’re interested. I’d recommend the Personal plan ($48/year).

Hello, Supernovia, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I have loaded, at the link you sent me, six screen clips — ads that have been displaying on my site. They are labeled at the media page as November 28, 2022. I am not sure how to explain my concerns regarding these ads since our site is devoted to traditional Catholic topics. Some of these ads are sexually suggestive, others mention topics like prostate problems that we Catholics, while not puritanical, consider inappropriate to discuss in mixed company, especially with such detailed illustrations. And some, like Meghan Markle, are just insulting. Yes, I realize that we can have an ad-free site by paying; but for seniors like us who live on a budget, we have to watch our expenditures. You may argue that $48 a year is not much; but every dollar counts. And we make absolutely no money from our blog. Are you able to place content filters on the ads? If not, what other suggestions do you have? Thank you for your help.

Hi there,
Thanks for your screenshots, I have reported them to our ads team and blocked them on your site so they will not be displayed going forward. Thanks!
