Ads!?

Hello, my name is Duncan Gill and I run a Blog using your site. I’ve been using it for a good few years now with no issue, I do appreciate it and have no plans to come off. However, I did notice a couple of days ago that ads are appearing on the page, big flashy annoying ones that take up a lot of the page. I wasn’t asked if I wanted to include ads on the page, if I had the choice I’d say no to ads every time because they’re everywhere, even in this tiny corner of the internet. How do I remove the ads? And if I am deprived of a choice in this matter one that I wasn’t asked about, can I share in the revenue? I do not want to come off WordPress, it has been an incredible avenue to direct traffic to my other projects, but if Ads are rampant I may start searching for other blogging services. WordPress.com has always been showing ads to cover the costs and keep your free wordpress.com website for free.
If you don’t want ads on your site, you must upgrade to a paid plan.
