Ads

How is it possible that my blog bestinpackaging.com shows ads, while I have marked the “no ads”. I don’t want to see these low-quality ads on my blog. Please correct it.

To support the service (and keep free features free), we sometimes run advertisements.
I do notice that you’re part of WordAds and elected to not show these. When you choose that option, ads from WordAds are no longer show (meaning you’re no longer earning revenue from ads), but ads from WordPress.com take their place unless you purchase a No Ads upgrade: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/ad-free/

Sorry to say, but it is my domain, that’s what I paid for. WordPress is invading my domain without my consent. Indeed I subscribed to Ads, but seeing the low-quality (I had this discussion before) I put the marker at “No Ads”.
I expect that is respected. Why not unsubscribe because WordPress promised that the quality will be improved in the future, so i left the option open.
But no ads. The ones posted aren’t fitting in y blog.
Thanks for the anmswer anyway and my request stays: NO ADS.

Your domain registration only pays for the registration of the domain, and likewise your VideoPress upgrade only pays for the VideoPress service itself.
The only things which pay for the service costs here (hosting, hardware, bandwidth, personnel, etc) are the ads or the $30/year No Ads upgrade: http://store.wordpress.com/premium-upgrades/ad-free/

I’m sure I bought the domain with the guarantee that no ads etc should be included. That’s exactly why I bought the domain and (for the moment) not the other 3 I have. As the ads stay there is no reason to buy a domain. I’m sure that was the one and only reason I bought the domain. Otherwise why buy it.
But I’m not in the mood to discuss this further and haven’t time to sort to my archives.
I will upgrade the ‘ad-free’ and that’s the end.
Thanks

The domain only pays for itself, and there has never been a guarantee that such a purchase would remove ads.
You might be referring to the Premium bundle, which includes a domain and No Ads (along with a few other upgrades), but if you do find some point where we promised that a domain purchase would remove ads, please do let me know so we can take of the situation.
