WHAT HAPPENED. I have a ton of unrelated and and troubling ads running on my black lives matter post feature. Why are these ads there and how do I remove them

additionally I don’t mind their being an ad or two but ads that relate to the content of my post these ugly medical ads are very inappropriate

I’m not staff, but I can’t see any ads on your site or your post, however this doesn’t mean they’re not there.

All free WordPress.com blogs are likely to get ads, eventually – it’s how the site pays for the blog being free. The only way to get rid of them, I’m afraid, is to upgrade to a paid account (the starting price for the lowest one isn’t that high) and included in that is the no-ads upgrade. I’m not sure that you can choose what sort of ads are displayed, though.

Most people aren’t aware of ads on their blogs or sites here because they tend not to show to the blog’s owner when logged in. They show when the cache has been cleared and the person is logged out. Maybe that’s how you suddenly were aware of them on your blog.

If you want to ask Staff, you can add a ‘modlook’ tag in the panel to the right of your question here on the forum. (Other than staff, people who help here are volunteers.)

Here’s the support page about ads on WordPress.com:
