Ads are not showing on my website.

I have paid WP plan, yet ads are still popping up my shop. need help please.

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

I have a paid WP plan and turned WordAds sinced last April. From Jetpack Stats, it said that 1,692 Ads Served in my site but I can’t see them. I’ve also asked my users to test from their sides and they couldn’t see the ads neither. I’ve also made sure that there’s no ad blocker running. I’d appreciate if you can check what’s going on. Thanks in advance.

Update: I have paid WP plan, yet Ads are not showing on my website. need help please.

  • Hi there!

The ads on each page of the site are placed dynamically through a real-time bidding process. Advertisers bid for the ad spots on your site based on a variety of factors including — but not limited to — age of the site, content, amount of traffic, demographics of the traffic, advertiser interest, and user engagement with the ads. We see that sites getting traffic from North America and Europe tend to get the most interest from advertisers. I’d suggest to keep posting original and regular content on your site for existing visitors and also explore other niche content you can publish to help bring traffic from other demographics to your site. Right now you’re not seeing ads placed on your website because no advertisers have bid to place ads on it.

Thanks! Will do! So the 1,692 Ads Served in my site from Jetpack Stats is misleading then. :-)

  • Not exactly. There are still a few ads shown sparingly but these are usually non-revenue generating ads, displayed when there is a lack of advertiser demand. Sometimes not everyone will see these ads, including the site owner.

Generally speaking, for a site owner to earn meaningful revenue from ads they need in the thousands of page views per month. More traffic equals more advertiser demand and a higher chance of seeing the revenue-generating ads.

I also noticed WordAds has been toggled on / off recently and this reduces the chances of advertisers bidding on the site. As mentioned earlier, I encourage you to focus on regularly posting original content and you can find tips on growing your audience here: https://wordpress.com/support/getting-more-views-and-traffic/
