If you are referring to ads placed by wordpress.COM then they are not found in blog posts like this one https://newsteamgames.wordpress.com/2015/10/14/sale-5/
If you or your users are posting links to ads that’s not allowed.
No blogger initiated advertising for driving traffic to third party sites is allowed here on wordpress.COM hosted blogs. PPC is not allowed. Affiliate marketing banners and any and all advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com are not allowed.
The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

http://support.wordpress.com/advertising/Please read these for clarity:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/

Note that we do not get to select which ads wordpress.COM displays on our blogs. It is the advertisers who choose which blogs to display ads on, not the other way around.
Provided you are referring to WordAds on a blog that is in the WordAds program then be aware that we are to contact WordAds Staff directly as those issues are not WordPress.COM software support issues per se. Please use the contact link at https://wordads.co/contact/
If you are not referring to a blog that is in the WordAds program then you can, of course, purchase a Premium upgrade bundle http://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/ or a Business upgrade bundle http://store.wordpress.com/plans/business/ and eliminate all advertising as both include a No-Ads upgrade within the bundles.

The only advertising program at WordPress.COM is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/There is no cost involved in this aside from purchasing a domain mapping upgrade $18 per year. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/ Aside from that your site will need to demonstrate a significant traffic flow to qualify for acceptance into WordAds.
We do not provide WordAds support here. Read first https://wordads.co/faq/ and use the contact link for more detail at https://wordads.co/contact/ Note this link to Apply for WordAds https://wordads.co/signup/
IMPORTANT: If your site is accepted into the WordAds program you still don’t get to select which ads will be displayed on your site.

I shouldn’t ask for clarity on a question in order to help solve the problem? If I only answered questions to which I knew the answers, how would I ever expand my knowledge of WordPress? In order to accelerate my learning, I am researching support docs after I identify the problem. Once I am sure that I’ve found the correct solution, and only then, do I give an answer. Just need some reasoning and clarification.

Bottom line: this support forum does not exist for the purpose of educating any WordPress.COM Staff wannbes. It is here to provide accurate answers to those who post them as quickly as possible.
Sure you can go ahead and do that if you want to but it’s a time waster for the blogger who posted. It also means we experienced Volunteers are in the unenviable position of having to ghost your threads, correct answers, or provide added information. As I multitask from my business I am NOT keen on training anyone in how to answer questions accurately and expeditiously.

If I want to try to join Automattic why can I not educate myself by getting involved in the forums? It seems to me like you have something against “staff wannbes”.
On the Happiness Engineer job posting page it reads, “The WordPress.com and WordPress.org forums are fantastic places to gain the experience required for this position.” If this doesn’t say, “Get involved in the forums to gain the necessary knowledge required to be a Happiness Engineer”, I don’t know what does.
If another forum volunteer answers a question before I do while I’m researching the answer then so be it. I’m glad it was answered quickly. However, why should I not provide an answer (if correct) if there has not been any other replies? I would never reply to a forum thread just for the sake of replying. I always make sure my answers are correct.
Also, I didn’t ask you to “train” me on how to answer support questions. I apologize if I got in your way or inconvenienced you. I’ve always looked up to your depth of knowledge and your compassion to help others. I’m just trying to lend a hand and help someone out.
