Ads in Free wordpress version

I am noticing ads appearing at the end of my blog pages but not in any other pages. Do ads only appear in blog pages? Also sometimes they appear and when I refresh or relaunch the browser, they are not there. Is there a random pattern for displaying the ads? Finally, we are a small nonprofit and wonder if there is a discount for the Personal plan which seems to be the cheapest way to eliminate the ads? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do you see the ads whilst you are still logged in here? That often indicates that your browser has an adware infection.
However, if you see adverts on your WordPress.com site when not logged in then that is normal behaviour as WordPress.com can place adverts as part of the TOS you agree to by having a free plan. The only solution if the adverts are actually generated by WordPress.com is to upgrade to a paid plan to remove the ads. https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/
PS: I’m not aware of any discounts currently available.

Thanks. Very helpful to know that the ads should NOT show up when I am logged in. That is the case now. That’s why they seem to appear and disappear! It depends on whether I am viewing the site when I am logged in or not.

OK I will need to upgrade to a Personal plan to eliminate the ads then.
    Thank you again.
