Ads in the middle

    Hi,

So I noticed several users complaining about ads being automatically placed right in the middle of their home page. The same applies to our blog, with 2 box ads stretching the featured content area to the top, essentially hiding the summary of the featured post behind the menu bar and ruining the header image.

Would one of the staff kindly take a look at our blog and fix the issue for us, as it happened with others?
Of course, we don’t mind the ads in general, but it’s really pointless if they are placed like this.
    We use the Textbook theme.

    Thank you,

    Best,
    Alex

That’s odd. When I click on
    Συνεχίστε να διαβάζετε
«Ένα ιστολόγιο για τον πολιτισμό και την πολιτική»
just above those two adverts then your blog page opens and those two adverts display correctly. The issue must have something to do with the continue reading link and/or your theme. I’ve tagged this thread with modlook to ask a member of staff if they could investigate further.

Yes, well, the ads are in a normal place when you click to read the post/page.
The problem seems to be currently only on the home page.

    Here is a screenshot:

The ads clearly mess up with the featured content area of the theme, making the summary text unreadable and of course result in an unprofessional, uninviting and ugly layout.

  • Hi there,

This looks like a bug, so I’ve reported it to our theme developers to look at. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more info from them on this.

  • Thanks for reporting this issue, @alexmts!

A fix has been deployed for the Textbook theme, so it will no longer display ads in the featured content area. I’ve double-checked your site and the home page looks like it’s now displaying correctly.

Just let us know if you have any questions at all about this!
