Ads in WordPress.com?

  Hi,
  I am new to this blogging thing, and I have very little technical knowledge of computers. After spending weeks trying to get AdSense ads on my blog, I finally find out that WordPress.com does not allow it, and that we, the users, do not have access to the HTML. What gives? Does this mean I cannot put ads in my blog if it involves HTML? Are there any kinds of ads that I CAN use? I’m this -> close to moving by blog.

  IMO the discussion thread from the off-topic forum will not be helpful. The end users do not formulate wordpress.com policy. The staff and management do.

  What will be helpful is (1) reading the published policy from the FAQs http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/ and (2) if required, contacting staff for clarification.

  You can send a feedback into staff after the weekend using the feedback button located on the top right hand corner of any admin side blog page.
